East Providence police giving out autism medical alert seat belt covers

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The East Providence police have shared on their Facebook page that residents can pick up autism medical alert seat belt covers at the police station.

These seat belt covers help first responders identify someone with special needs in an emergency situation.

These covers are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Those who can not make it to the station during those hours can contact Community Police Sergeant at 401-563-8699 or JAceto@eastprovidenceri.gov.
