EG family arrested in drug bust
A raid on a quiet street in East Greenwich leads to the arrest of a father and his two sons. Police found a large amount of cash and marijuana inside a home they say they have been monitoring for months.
“People come here to get away from the riff raff and this is unacceptable,” East Greenwich Police Chief Thomas E. Coyle III said.
Amidst the manicured lawns and the million dollar homes on Adirondack Drive in East Greenwich, police made a huge drug bust Friday morning.
“I got several complains through our intelligence that there have been narcotic transactions taking place at this residence,” Coyle said.
After neighbors found needles and syringes scattered about the quiet cul-de-sac, police got a warrant to search all 4,000 square feet of the home. When they found bins full of marijuana in the basement and over $30,000 in cash, they brought the family out in handcuffs one by one.
Robert Campellone and his two sons, Kyle and Robert Jr., will each face charges of creating a narcotics nuisance and possession with intent to deliver.
They are currently being held at the ACI and are expected to be arraigned on Monday.
