Elementary School Principal in New York charged with sexually abusing several students

ROCHESTER, NY (WLNE) – An elementary school principal in Rochester is behind bars accused of sexually abusing several of his students.

Kirk Ashton, was the principal of an elementary school in Rochester for 17 years.

New York State Police say nine victims that attended the school have come forward.

All boys were between the ages of nine and 12 when the assaults happened.

Ashton faces nine charges of first-degree sexual abuse.

State police believe there are more victims who have yet to come forward.

The investigation is still ongoing.
