Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza signed an order Tuesday aimed at reducing gun violence.

Elorza says he’s looking to develop some kind of intervention program to keep guns off the streets and keep young people out of jail.

The hope is the program helps them get their life on track, instead of turning to gun violence.
