Emergency crews respond to two vehicle accident, one car scorched by flames

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- ABC6 News Crews arrived to the area of Murray and Plainfield Street to the scene of a heavy accident Thursday night.

The two vehicle accident left one SUV compacted with a shattered windshield.

Witnesses on the scene said that the accident caused the SUV to rollover.

The second vehicle, a sedan, was completely scorched from flames resulting from the accident.

News Crews witnessed police blocking off traffic in the surrounding area of Murray Street and fire crews leaving the scene.

Both vehicles are currently being towed from the scene.

Witnesses tell ABC6 News that the driver of the sedan fled the scene of the accident.

The condition of the operators and cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
