Employee stabbed at Lucia’s Mexican Restaurant

Providence, R.I. (WLNE) – Police are looking for a man accused of stabbing an employee of Lucia’s Mexican Restaurant.

The 24-year-old victim told police that the man who stabbed him was a patron who frequented the restaurant on Atwells Avenue.

At about 11 P.M. the patron became belligerent after the bartender refused to serve him a beer. That’s when a kitchen employee asked the man to leave. The man pulled out a knife and stabbed the employee.

Police say the victim is in stable condition at Rhode Island Hospital.

The suspect is still at large.
