Workers to rally against smoking at Rhode Island casinos
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A group of casino employees will hold a rally and press conference in support of a bill that would ban smoking in Rhode Island casinos.
Union leaders representing those employees said that they shouldn’t be subject to the health risks involving second-hand smoke in the work place.
Casinos stopped allowing smoking while masks were required in buildings during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The rally will be held at the State House at 3 p.m.
