Ethics Complaints Lodged Against Mayor Lombardi of North Providence
ABC6 has learned that several ethics complaints have been filed against North Providence mayor Charles Lombardi and two other town officials.
Documents obtained by ABC6 accuse Mayor Lombardi of awarding large no-bid contracts to Polisena Construction, which did work for both the town and the Mayor himself. Victor Polisena, who owns the company, is also named in a complaint because he sits on the North Providence zoning board. Acting Finance Director Maria Vallee is also named, and it's claimed she accepted a federal low-income housing loan for renovations on her personal property despite not being eligible.
So far the state Ethics Commission has not taken any action.
