“Evita” the musical rocks PPAC

The nationwide tour of “Evita” kicked-off at the Providence Performing Arts Center over the weekend.

This is the first off-broadway tour that the Andrew Lloyd Webber production has seen.

With lyrics by Tim Rice the entire production is done entirely in sing. The show follows the life of Eva Peron, the wife of Argentine president Juan Peron through her poor upbringing through her rise to power to her much to early death at 33.

The show runs through Saturday the 14th and tickets are available at ppac.com.
