PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ A former Marine reservist recently indicted in the strangulation death of a 24-year-old woman in Providence has been sentenced to 10 months in prison on separate charges.
A federal judge on Thursday sentenced 28-year-old Daniel Tejeda for violating several terms of his conditional release from a three-year prison sentence he received in 2008 for robbing a bank and stealing a fellow Marine's identity.
Court records show Tejeda admitted committing other crimes and failing to complete 200 hours of community service in violation of the release terms.
A state grand jury in Providence this month indicted Tejeda on a first-degree murder charge in the March 31 killing of Ashley Masi.

Police say Tejeda responded to Masi's advertisement for escort services on the website backpage.com.
He awaits arraignment on the murder charge.
