The Rhode Island Department of Transportation will close exit 22 (Downtown Providence/Routes 6 & 10) from I-95 South on Saturday March 8 until Tuesday, March 11.

The exit will be closed beginning at 1 a.m. Saturday and will reopen at 5 a.m. on Tuesday, just in time for the morning commute.

The RIDOT is warning commuters as the closure will affect peak travel times on Monday.

The DOT will be pouring two sections of concrete deck widening exit 22B to route 6/10. In order for the concrete to cure the road must be closed at this time.

The RIDOT has put out detour maps for commuters: http://www.dot.ri.gov/detourmaps/ .
