Fall River dress shop dresses up busts for MakeAWish

FALL RIVER – A bridal shop in Fall River has come up with a creative way to help kids in our area with life threatening illnesses.

Employees at Alexandra's Boutique on South Main Street are using mannequins to create unique pieces of art… and then are selling them.

They were inspired by a local Make A Wish girl.

“This little girl makes her mother drive by our window every day so she can see our windows, so when she said that I'm like we want to do something. We're in the business of making dreams come true, we want to help some children make their dreams come true,” said co-owner Joel Benson.

The store hopes to raise at least $4,000 for the Make A Wish foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

It costs about $7,500 to fulfill one wish.
