Fall River firefighter resigns amid false report scandal

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) – The Fall River firefighter charged with calling in false emergencies has resigned.
Fall River Fire officials said firefighter Kyle Cusick turned in his letter of resignation Friday.
Cusick was placed on administrative leave in early January while Police investigated the allegations that he had made fifteen false fire reports.
Fall River Fire officials told ABC6 the city still intends to pursue the 15 charges against the former firefighter.
Cusick had been with the department for three years.
