FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A Fall River man accused of impregnating his daughter is returning to Massachusetts to face charges.

Roque Garcia-Ortiz was arrested earlier this month in Georgia after Fall River police said the 50-year-old raped and impregnated his 14-year-old daughter.

Investigators said they believe he was planning to fly to Puerto Rico.

Authorities in Massachusetts on Monday took custody of Garcia-Oritz.

The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office told ABC 6 News the suspect will appear in court next month for a dangerousness hearing.

Garcia-Oritz is facing three counts of rape, three counts of aggravated rape of a child, and one count of rape of child with force.
