Fall River man charged as armed career criminal after police search

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — A Fall River man accused of drug trafficking is being charged as an armed career criminal.

Fall River police and the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section arrested 31-year-old Francisco Cunha on multiple warrants at his home on Monday.

A Fall River officer saw white powder on a table at the Rockland Street apartment and obtained a search warrant.

Authorities reportedly found 387 grams of fentanyl, 2 grams of black tar heroin, 7 grams of crack cocaine, other narcotics, and ammunition.

Cunha is facing drug trafficking charges and an additional charge for illegally possessing ammunition.
