Fall River Man Helping Identify World War II MIAs
A Fall River native is giving families of war victims some closure.
Ted Darcy has identified the remains of 7 US service members declared missing in action during World War II.
And he expects to match as many as 19 more within a week.
The 7 men identified include 5 marines and 2 sailors missing since the 1944 Battle of Saipan. Darcy is a retired Marine Corps Sergeant whose helped bring home 3 World War II MIAs since 1991 from burial sites in the Philippines, Hawaii and Newport.
