Fall River man killed in Wareham crash; State PD looking for vehicle involved

WAREHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Plymouth’s District Attorney has released the name of a Fall River man who was killed in a crash on Rt. 195 in Wareham early Monday morning.

According to officials, 48-year-old Joseph Faria of Fall River was pronounced dead at the scene when responders arrived shortly before 5 a.m.

They said the operator, a 33-year-old man, also from Fall River, suffered only minor injuries and was transported to Toby Hospital in Wareham.

State police believe the 2012 Nissan Titan pickup truck they were driving in struck a light grey dump truck before crashing into the woods.

Troopers said they are still working to identify the cause of the crash, as well as the dump truck, which left the scene.
