Fall River shooting sends one to hospital, police investigating

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE)- A man was taken to the hospital after being shot in Fall River early on Saturday morning, according to the city’s police department.

Police responded to the scene at the intersection of Pine and Orange Streets at around 1:30 a.m.

Initial reports said that several men had been fighting with weapons.

First responders found a man lying on the ground with a gunshot wound.

The man was taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
