UPDATED: Student Struck Remains in Critical Condition

UPDATE: At last check, the student struck by a passing car Wednesday morning is still in critical condition at Hasbro Children's Hospital.

Also, the driver in the accident has not been charged in the crash.

Fall River Police are investigating after a middle school student was struck by a car while standing at her bus stop.

Early Wednesday morning, the 13 year-old girl was standing at her bus stop at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Herman Street, when she was struck by a car driven by a 22 year-old male.

The girl, a student at Talbot Middle School, was transported to Hasbro Children's Hospital because of her injuries.

The accident happened just before 6:30am Wednesday. Other students waiting at the bus stop also witnessed the accident.
