FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — New England Patriots fans will soon be able to pour their own beers at Gillette Stadium.

This week, Foxborough’s five-member Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to approve the self-serve beer option.

“The only difference between this portable and a typical draught portable is that the final act of pouring the beer is done by a machine and not by a human,” said Jim Nolan, chief operating officer for Gillette. “From our perspective, every other piece of the transaction is the same.”

Customers will be able to line up where staff will check for valid identification and sobriety.

“The machine only allows the purchase of two drinks. That’s our policy,” said Nolan.

A total of four brews will be available for fans to choose from.
