Fans worried for Patriots future after Jones injury

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) — Following Mac Jones sprained ankle during Sunday’s 37-26 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots fans are concerned for the future of their franchise quarterback.

“Especially considering the injury you don’t know the length of the recovery, it could be a speedy recovery or he could miss sometime. That would be a tough loss,” Patriots fan Tevin Keown said.

The injury comes after the Patriots lost two of their first three games.

Granby resident Joshua Powers worries the injury could result in even more losses for New England.

“You really don’t want to start falling behind and get toward 1-3,1-4 god forbid. It doesn’t get any easier,” Powers said.

As of now, Jones timetable for return is to be determined.

While the immediate future is in question, some fans are still optimistic for the rest of the season.

Keown believes in the motto, “In Bill we trust.”

“If any coach in the league can do something about this situation, it’s Bill Belichick,” Keown said.
