Victims of fatal pedestrian crash in Middletown identified
MIDDLETOWN, R.I. (WLNE): An 80-year-old woman has died and a man is seriously injured after being struck by a driver in Middletown on Saturday, according to the police department.
Police say Christine Mouligne, from Florida, was backing out of a driveway around 2:30 p.m. on Ward Avenue when she struck the two pedestrians.
Gertude Mackin, 80, of Middletown was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second victim Tristan Mouligne, of Middletown, remains at Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries
Middletown police say the incident is still being investigated.
