Fatal pedestrian crash on highway in Hopkinton

HOPKINTON, Mass. (WLNE): State Police are investigating after a fatal crash in Hopkinton on Sunday afternoon.

According to police, the pedestrian was struck by a car on Route 90 eastbound at the 105-mile marker in Hopkinton around 3:15 p.m.

A 40-year-old man from Hebron, Connecticut was driving the car.

The identity of the pedestrian and why the pedestrian was in the roadway is still under investigation.

The investigation has been assigned to troopers from State Police-Charlton, Middlesex County State Police Detective Unit, Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section, and Crime Scene Services.
