Fatal Rollover in Providence: Driver Identified
PROVIDENCE, R.I (WLNE) – A Cranston resident is dead following a vehicle rollover early Friday morning.
Rhode Island State Police report that 22-year-old Roberto Pichardo Mello, was traveling on Route 10 south in Providence when the accident happened.
A preliminary police investigation revealed that at approximately 3:25 AM, Pichardo Mello was traveling in the right lane of Route 10 south, and began veering right near the Route 6 overpass.
Pichardo Mello struck a concrete barrier, that caused his vehicle to roll over, where he succumbed to his injuries.
