Fatal Weekend Rollover in Raynham

State Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Route 24 Southbound in Raynham

Saturday at approximately 4:39 p.m., Troopers assigned to the State Police Barracks in Middleboro responded to a single-vehicle crash on Route 24 south in Raynham. The crash resulted in one fatality..

Preliminary investigation by Trooper Joseph Baker indicates a 25-year-old Michael McKeown from East Bridgewater was operating a 2005 Dodge Neon, in the far left lane when the vehicle attempted to exit onto Route 44 and lost control rolling over.  Mr. McKeown was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased.

Although the facts and circumstances of this crash remain under investigation by Troop D of the Massachusetts State Police, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and the Medical Examiners Office. The Raynham Fire and EMS Department and the DOT assisted Troopers at the scene.

During the crash investigation Route 44 exit was closed for approximately two hours.
