NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — The Feast of the Blessed Sacrament is set to return to New Bedford Thursday after a two-year hiatus.

The festival, which is expected to draw over 100,000 people, will run until Sunday, with guests able to enjoy tons of Portuguese foods, performances, rides, and games.

With the anticipated high heat, organizers said that extra emergency medical staff will be around the festival grounds.

The two-year break marks the first time the festival hasn’t happened since 1915.
