Just a day after it was announced that Giovanni Feroce, Chief Executive Officer of Alex & Ani, has left the company, Feroce is sharing his thoughts.

Feroce said that what many people are calling a sudden departure from the Rhode Island based jewelry company was actually “a build up of decision points.” Feroce said that he wishes the company well but noted that the new CEO will have big shoes to fill. Feroce said he hopes the new CEO will “measure up.”

As for his own future, Feroce said he has a lot of opportunities to explore if he chooses to stay in the business world but in the immediate future he is going to take some time to relax and enjoy his new home with his family. In January, Feroce purchased Wyndam Estates in Newport for $6.8 Million, cash.

“In a sense this is kind of liberating,” said the former CEO about his departure from the company.

When asked if he would consider seeking a political office Feroce would not rule anything out.

Feroce said he is a Rhode Islander and has no plans to leave the state he loves.
