Fight breaks out in the middle of Bryant-Wagner NEC championship game

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE)- A bitter game between the Bryant Bulldogs and Wagner Seahawks during the Northeast Conference Championship saw emergency crews rush to the arena after a fight broke out.

The fight seemingly broke out between fans of both teams near the end of the game around 9:00 pm.

Rhode Island State Police has confirmed that 20-year-old Connor Gleim of Raynham was arrested at Tuesday night’s game.

According to State Police, Gleim is being charged with Disorderly Conduct and Obstructing Officer in Execution of Duty.

Gleim was taken to State Police Headquarters, where he was arraigned, and will be in Kent County Court at a later date.

Others involved were evacuated from the arena.

Both teams were allowed to finish the game, Bryant beating Wagner with a final score of 70-43.
