Fire at multi-family home in Cranston under investigation

CRANSTON, R.I (WLNE) – A fire that broke out in a multi-family home early Monday morning is currently under investigation.

The fire broke out on Franklin Avenue just after midnight where it took three hours to get knocked down.

The department speculates that it the cause of the fire could have started from a smoke explosion that spread to all three floors, but that is not officially determined.

The fire department says that everybody in the home got out safely and there were no injuries to residents or fire officials.
