Dog, cat killed in Cranston house fire

CRANSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — A fire that broke out in a Cranston home Monday morning killed a dog and cat.

The fire happened just before 11:30 a.m. on Madison Avenue.

The home sustained heavy damage to the roof and right side of it.

No other injuries were reported.

The Red Cross is helping the two families displaced.
