Fire breaks out in North Kingstown home

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — North Kingstown firefighters responded to a house fire on Slocum Road Tuesday morning.

First responders reported seeing flames coming from the home, extending into the attic.

Firefighters said there were no fire hydrants in the area so they needed to use the water supply from neighboring departments.

The chief said that the snow made it harder for the crew to drag hoses to the fire but they were ultimately able to get the fire under control.
