UPDATE: Police release surveillance video of Central Falls arson suspect

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WLNE) — A surveillance video has been released showing the person of interest in a Central Falls arson on Central Street from June 19th.

The three-alarm fire that damaged the home was determined by Central Falls Police along with the State Fire Marshal to be intentionally set, making it first degree arson.

Detectives are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect in the video. 

If anyone recognizes the person’s walk, clothes, etc., please contact the Central Fall Police Department at 401-727-7411.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.

The owner of the home was asleep at the time, and awoke to the sound of an explosion.

He was able to escape the home uninjured.

Officials have not yet determined a motive.
