Fire damages Providence home

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A house on Pine Street in Providence caught fire on Thursday.

An ABC 6 News crew saw firefighters knocking the fire down at about 7:30 p.m.

The heat from the fire spread to the house next door and caused some vinyl damage, but residents did not need to relocate, officials said.

No one was home when the fire broke out and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
