Fire damages restaurant, apartments on Lockwood St. in Providence

Providence, RI (WLNE) – Fire damaged a mixed-use building on Lockwood St. in Providence Friday evening.  The building is at the intersection of West Clifford St.

The building contains a mix of businesses and residential units.  El Rincon Dominicano, a restaurant, is on the bottom floor.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire. However, the initial call indicated the fire started in a loft.
