NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. – A family escaped injuries when a fire ravaged their North Kingstown home Saturday morning, but their home suffered extensive damage.

Neighbors say the fire happened around 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning and was mostly extinguished around 10 a.m., at 75 Tockwotton Farm Road. When firefighters arrived, the garage was completely engulfed in flames.

One neighbor said that the man who owns the house kept his prized classic car collection in the garage, but that collection was ruined by the intense heat.

There were no injuries from the fire, and all occupants escaped the home unharmed.

Other areas of the house did not sustain as much damage, and it is unclear at this time whether the home will be demolished.
