Fire kills dog, engulfs waterfront home on South Shore of Massachusetts

HULL, Mass. (WLNE) — A dog was killed after a massive fire destroyed a waterfront home on the South Shore of Massachusetts on Monday evening, WCVB-TV reports.
The property is a “shell of itself” after a section of it collapsed from the heavy flames.
Hull Fire Chief Chris Russo told WCVB-TV that no one was home when the fire started and no firefighters were injured, but a dog was killed.
Russo said the fire and the wind was so strong that it melted siding on a house across the street.
In total, fire agencies from seven surrounding towns helped Hull firefighters knock down the blaze.
