Fire in Providence scorches five cars

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A car fire was reported on Gwinnett Court near Reservoir Avenue in Providence.

ABC6 News crews were on the scene where multiple cars sustained visible fire damage and smoke filled the air.

The Providence Fire Battalion Chief said firefighters put out five cars that were on fire in 30 minutes.

No injuries were reported but 25 firefighters were needed to extinguish the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
