NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. (WLNE) —  A fire broke out at an Army Navy store in North Attleborough Tuesday night.

North Attleborough Fire Deputy Chief Michael Chavet told ABC 6 News that they received a call just after 7:30 p.m. for a fire alarm going off at G.I. Joe’s Army Navy store on East Washington Street.

When responders arrived at the scene, they said they saw smoke coming from the roof of the store and made a quick attack.

Firefighters later found a small fire in the back of the building, which was knocked down within 10 minutes, Chavet said.

The department called in aid from neighboring towns, including Plainville, Cumberland, Attleboro, and Mansfield.

Chavet said the business was not open at the time of the fire and the building is structurally sound.

No injuries were reported.

The investigation into the cause of the fire remains ongoing.
