Fire rips through garage in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — Firefighters battled a garage fire in New Bedford on Tuesday evening.

The fire department said that the fire started just before 6 p.m. while work was being done on a car.

Crews responded to the scene on Nash Road and found heavy flames coming from the garage.

No firefighters or civilians were hurt during the blaze, but the two vehicles inside were damaged.
