Fire starts in vacant multi-family home at De Pasquale Square

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A fire broke out in a multi-family home in on Federal Hill Wednesday.

According to the Providence Fire Department, a small fire broke out on the second flood of the vacant apartment building with a restaurant on the first floor.

Officials said the fire was contained to one room and some construction equipment inside but nobody was in the building at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.

ABC 6 News crews were on De Pasquale Avenue where firefighters could be seen ventilating the second story of an apartment building.

The cause is currently under investigation by he Providence Fire Department.
