Fire tears through multi-family home in Westerly

WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE)- Crews battled flames at a Westerly home late Monday night.

The fire broke out around 11 p.m. at a multi-family home on Pearl Street.

Westerly Fire Chief John Mackay said the three-family home was occupied at the time of the fire.

According to Mackay, there were no injuries to any residents or firefighters.

The house sustained serious damage.

The fire is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
