Firefighter injured while battling fire in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A firefighter was injured while battling a fire in Providence on Friday.
The Providence Fire Department responded at about 9 a.m. to calls of smoke showing from a home on Benefit Street.
Deputy Assistant Chief Steve Capracotta said the homeowners weren’t home at the time of the fire.
The firefighter was taken to the hospital with a minor shoulder injury, according to Capracotta.
