Firefighters respond to fire in Bristol, rescue dog

BRISTOL, R.I. (WLNE)- Firefighters responded to a fire in Bristol at around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday evening.

Crews arrived at the scene of the mutli-family house on Hope Street and quickly knocked down the fire.

Officials said that no one was injured, there were people inside the house that got out okay.

Firefighters also rescued a dog from the fire.

The dog was taken to the vet after inhaling smoke and is expected to be okay.
