First day of spring
New England has sunny skies to start the work week
Providence, R.I.—Today marks the fist day of spring for us and we start off with sunshine through the first part of the week due to a high pressure setting up over New England.
Dry air and low dewpoint make for a concern for fire weather today with mid afternoon winds gusting up to 20-25mph in some parts of RI/SE Mass.
We are watching a system that will be moving across the Tennessee River Valley and making its way towards us by early morning Thursday.
Model guidance has light rain moving in with rain chances increasing for us on Friday and Saturday. Once the system moves off to the east we are left with a nice Sunday.
