Flooding near Route 6 ramp in Johnston causes delays
JOHNSTON, R.I. (WLNE) — Flooding at the on and off-ramps of Route 6 in Johnston caused serious traffic delays Monday evening.
ABC 6 News crews were on Atwood Avenue where police were guiding traffic through deep pools of rainwater.
Workers from the Rhode Island Department of Transportation were also seen clearing trash and debris from runoff drains to help reduce the water levels.
Cars were also observed stuck underneath the Route 6 overpass.
Information regarding any injuries from the flooding was not immediately released.
