Former Governor Noel to visit State House
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Former governor of Rhode Island Philip Noel will visit the State House on Wednesday.
He will be greeted by Gov. Dan McKee and Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi.
Noel was inducted in the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame in 2011.
He was elected mayor of Warwick, his hometown, in 1966 and served three terms.
A Rhode Islander through and through, Noel became governor in 1972 and was re-elected in 1974.
