PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A former Rhode Island priest charged with first-degree sexual assault was arraigned Wednesday.

Prosecutors said Kevin Fisette, 66, sexually assaulted a boy in Burrillville between 1981 and 1982, while serving as a deacon at Our Lady of Victory Parish in Hopkinton.

Fisette was removed from ministry in 2009.

Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha said this is the fourth former priest to be indicted stemming from review of clergy child sexual abuse allegations.
