Founder of Gregg’s Restaurants and Taverns passes away

WARWICK, R.I (WLNE) – Gregg’s Restaurants and Taverns announced on social media that their founder, Edmund “Ted” Fuller passed away Sunday.

Fuller would found Gregg’s in 1972, where it would become a staple of the state, with locations in Warwick, North Kingstown, Providence, and East Providence.

“His stewardship and guidance were important to so many that worked with him over the years”, said Gregg’s.

Fuller retired in 2008, but his influence remained an important part of the chain, Gregg’s noted.

“Ted will fondly be remembered by the many members of his Gregg’s family. May he rest in peace.”

He was 86.
