Four displaced after Providence house fire

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Crews responded to a fire on Regent Avenue in Providence Tuesday night.

Fire officials said the fire displaced four people.  They were all able to safely escape without any injuries.

The fire took over two rooms and started around 7:30 p.m.

While the fire was extinguished fairly quick, the home was deemed a total loss.

Fire officials emphasized the importance of working smoke detectors.
