Four hurt, 15 displaced in Taunton apartment complex fire
TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Fire crews responded to an apartment complex fire Tuesday morning that left over a dozen people without a home.
The Taunton Fire Department responded to Taunton Gardens Apartments at 26 Winslow Drive at approximately 2:30 a.m.
Four people were injured and 15 are now displaced, according to the Taunton Fire Department.
Three of the injured residents were transported to Morton Hospital and one was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
No serious injuries were reported, according to the Taunton Fire Department.
Among those rescued was a family of three with a young child.
Ten apartments were affected by fire, smoke or water, and there was heavy fire from two of the units.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, and displaced residents are receiving aid from the American Red Cross and Taunton Emergency Management.
